Behind every great action sequence is a great stuntman. Meet Pixar Stuntman Sammy who has been the leading animation stuntman since the very first Pixar film Toy Story.

Sammy is never afraid to do a dangerous stunt when a scene calls for it. Sammy had several toolboxes dropped on his body in order the create the realistic impacts and to keep the actor Woody The Cowboy from injury.

Sammy trained for many years with some of the best pyro-technicians in Hollywood in order to perfect the last sequence of the movie where Woody and Buzz Lightyear fly way in the air!

Sammy did incur several injuries during his experience on the set of Toy Story.
BANG up job
Sammy worked on over 24 animation films while also breaking 82 bones, tearing 4 tendons, sustaining 14 concussions, detaching 1 retina, and swallowing 5 bugs. The animation stunt field owes so much to Sammy, The Pixar Stuntman. Sammy finally retired as an animation stuntman after making Pixar’s Coco.
